The first vehicle I drove that had a 5-spd manual shifting transmission was my stepdad’s 1978 Toyota Pickup truck. My first very own car that had a manual shift was a 1986 Toyota MR2. My favourite of the two, the vehicle I’d buy again, would be the 1978 Toyota Pickup truck. If the transmission is hard to shift, makes excessive noise, or just doesn't feel like a good old long-throw truck transmission, there may be something expensive wrong with it. That's good to know. In the early morning, my truck will start without any problems. But as the day heats up, and i go to the store or something, when i come out it won't want to start. Its not the fuel pump or fuel filter, so what other problems could be causing it not to start when its hot, but only when it cools down. My truck is a Toyota tacoma, 1996.
