You are not alone. Unfortunately, i have a bit of experience with Audi Auto transmissions. Long story short, i buy a new car every year. In the last 5 years, i have had the following: S4 Avant, A4 3.0 Avant auto, A4 3.0 Avant manual, S4 sedan, and i just purchased an A3 3.2 about a month ago. In my previous list above, you will see 2 A4 3.0 Avants. AUDI A4 B6 Audi A4 Clutch-Transmission Today when I was driving (audi A4 b6 manual transmission gear) I was about to change to 2nd gear while accelerating and the car behaved like having neutral (RPM increasing Speed decreasing with 2nd gear in) and stopped in a slightly upslope road. I was able to enter 2nd gear but the car was in neutral.

Manual Transmission problem is a common vehicle problem that happens to most car brands and models. The following is a sample list of Manual Transmission problems reported in most popular vehicles.

Manual Transmission problem of Chevrolet Cruze

Audi S4, local trade We have not fully inspected this vehicle. It runs and drives very strong, but needs a few things. As far as we know: Needs a wheel bearing Needs a new windshield 2nd gear grinds a little bit. Hood needs to be painted. Jun 24, 2019  Also the B7 S4 pressure plates have more clamping force then the B6 S4 pressure plates. Thus the B6 S4 and B7 S4 clutch components do not mix and match so that is why I say that you need to get all B7 S4 parts. Think of it as an upgrade if you have a.

The vehicle was a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. Purchased 4/25/2012. After driving a little, noticed lack of power, easily stalls, something rolling around in the trunk lid, console piece gaped out, passenger side tail lamp inside trunk bent, engine shutters (after 500 miles it started) when turned on and off. The lack of power and engine stalling are the major safety concerns. When in a stopped position, the car will stall when the clutch is operated correctly. While making a right hand turn from a stop sign, onto route 30, at a blind intersection, the car would not move, once I let the clutch out and was in 1st gear, the car just did not move, I had the gas pushed to the floor and I was only moving inches forward. I was scared, I had my child in the car with me, a tractor trailer could have come up on me 50+ mph hit me or swerved to miss me and hit someone else. The car finally moved after about 45 sec. I then got up to speed in 6th gear. The car then again lost power, I had to down shift from 6th gear to 4th gear to get speed built back up. I got home, about 2 miles, was upset and scared, called apple Chevrolet, the car sat until I drove it to the dealership 35 mins from my home the next morning. I told them that it does not happen every day so the chances of it happening again are slim. This would be the 3rd visit to the service dept for the lack of power complaint. I drove with the tech anyway knowing that it was not going to be duplicated. I told the service rep that I wanted a turbo boost gauge put on it because it does not seem to be boosting all the time. When I was called that my car was done and nothing was duplicated, I was told that it was boosting in range. When I picked my car up the next day, there was nothing on my bill that stated that the turbo was even checked. I was told that they cannot put every piece of equipment that they use on each car on every bill. Etc. . . This manual transmission problem happened on Apr. 28, 2012.

Manual Transmission problem of Chrysler Town & Country

Manual transmission parts are simple to find if you know what you?re looking for. Always double check with your user?s manual to ensure that your parts are compatible with your car or truck. Consider eBay's variety of new and used parts to rebuild your transmission and to get your gears, bearings, or rings back in. I have a 2005.5 Audi S4 that shifts very hard into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. The shift from 2nd to 3rd seems to be the hardest. I tried disconnecting the battery for 15min to reset the computer, and that seemed to smooth it out temporarily, but the issue is back with a vengeance.

Manual Transmission problem of Ford Focus

The vehicle was a 2012 Ford Focus. Was told this car had 'automatic transmission'. After a few hundred miles on it, I noticed the transmission shifted sporadically and with no prediction. Engine shuddered, car lost power and was not safe to drive. The key here is no prediction as to how the car will react when under acceleration. Took to dealer and was told 'this isn't an automatic transmission - it's a computer- controlled manual that has to learn how you drive'. Dealer uploaded a computer update from Ford. The next hundred miles of driving almost caused numerous accidents due to lack of acceleration and uneven performance. 6/4/2012 I tried to merge into traffic and car refused to speed up. I almost caused a major accident, but numerous drivers slammed on their brakes and/or swerved and averted multiple collisions. Took the car to dealer 6/5/2012 and told them what happened. Was told by head tech 'it just has to get used to how you drive'. I told him there were three different people driving this Focus. He said we can't, because that would just end up totally 'confusing' the computer. As the car is too dangerous to drive, it is still at the dealer. Miles on vehicle are under 800. This manual transmission issue occurred 06/01/12.

Manual Transmission problem of Ford Mustang

I currently drive a 2012 Ford Mustang gt coupe (this site will not let me select a 2012 Mustang from the drop down menu, only 2011), purchased 3/11/11. It is currently experiencing a 'clutch stay out' problem. It is a six speed manual transmission. When shifting from first to second gear at high rpm, the clutch will not release for the shift until the rpms fall back below a certain level. I am unsure if this holds true for all the gears as my car is still fairly new and in break-in and I haven't taken any gear past 5k rpm. That said, the physical experience goes like this, 'take first gear past 3k rpm, shift to second, car bucks, rpms fall, second is then engaged, car lurches/lunges forward after the clutch 'catches' and then it launches one forward unpredictably. ' this has happened to me every time I have shifted the car into second gear after taking first gear past 3k rpm. It was Sat., Mar. 26, 2011 when this manual transmission issue occurred.

Manual Transmission problem of GMC Yukon

The car involved was a 2002 GMC Yukon xl. GMC 2002, Yukon: the reaction sunshell broken inside of transmission. Only 64,000 miles. 1) no event leading to failure: called GMC peterson in gurnee illinois, GMC knows of this problem and in fact changed the design of the sunshell yet will not recover my cost. I now live in minnesota and GMC here is doing the transmission fix. 2) failure and consequences: could be extremely serious if driving on a busy highway. Loss of power and acceleration could cause an accident. 3) correct failure: GMC is doing nothing to correct this failure that I know of. Customers are being told that this is a rare occurrence. However, after talking with gurnee peterson GMC illinois and valley GMC from waconia minnesota, this repair is not uncommon and is occurring every couple of months. I feel this warrants a corrective action. It was Monday, October 10, 2005 when this manual transmission issue happened.

The third gear in Honda Accord 2007 v6, manual transmission pops out that can be a potiential safety hazard. Upon investigation found that this problem is present in all 6 speed manual transmission Honda civic, Accord, and Acura fom 2002 to 2007. Manual Transmission problem of Hyundai Genesis

Vehicle identification number (VIN): KMHHU6KH0A_. The manual transmission in the 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe is very problematic. Very often the gear selection is rejected not allowing the operator to up shift or downshift. Second gear and fifth gear are the worse. Grinding often occurs when shifting into 2nd gear or 5th gear. I was merging into traffic on interstate 495 in massachusetts when my car would not shift into 5th gear. The transmission simply started to grind. When merging into traffic at 50-60mph an operator needs to shift from 4th to 5th and I could not. I had to quickly downshift into 4th gear to try and keep accelerating. Any shifting into 5th gear after approximately 3,400 rpms resistance and often grinding will occur. This can very easily cause an accident, expecting to be able to shift into the next higher gear and not being able to do so. I have taken my car to a Hyundai dealer and 'they could not replicate the problem'. I took the service tech for a ride and the car ground into 5th, and I was then told 'this is normal operation of the transmission'. Hyundai does not want to remedy this problem, and eventually many Genesis coupe owners with manual transmissions will be using lemon law protection to have their cars fixed. This manual transmission issue occurred Jul. 18, 2011.

Manual Transmission problem of Infiniti G37

The VIN of this G37 is JNKCV61E19_. The manual transmission in my 2009 Infiniti G37s started grinding gears nearly every time the transmission was placed in 6th gear. This resulted in longer than necessary gear changes at high speeds and prolonged time with only one hand on the steering wheel. The car was never driven excessively rough. This problem started at ~6000 miles on the odometer. At ~8500 miles, I took the car in for repair. Infiniti replaced the transmission with a new transmission under the factory warranty at no cost to me. This manual transmission issue occurred March 1, 2010.

Manual Transmission problem of Infiniti G35

The vehicle involved was a 2006 Infiniti G35. At ~7,900mi, I took my G35 coupe 6mt to Infiniti dealership when I started hearing a knocking noise and noticed that the 'check engine' light would come up every few times a week. I was called in 4 more times after that (every 1,000mi) specifically for oil-level testing. The dealership received an approval to replace the engine, and at 14,500mi, after just about 6 months, I drove out with a new one (10102-ac7m9). I was told to go easy for the initial 12-15k. After driving about 1000mi now, I am running low on oil. I just checked it myself. I plan on taking it to the dealership soon to record it formally. But this is not the only problem I am having, the new engine seems to be a lot louder and a bit sluggish too. . Yes. . Definitely not the ride I got used too!!. This problem occurred on Jul. 21, 2007.

Manual Transmission problem of Jeep Wrangler

The vehicle involved is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4-dr 4x4. I have a little over 45k miles on my 2008 Jeep jk and this started happening about 5 months ago. The first 1-2 times I sort of chalked it up to an unusual oddity. But it has now happened over a couple of dozen times! it seems to happen more and more now. This is a manual 6 speed transmission. . . . The problem has happened in first gear only. It always happens from a standstill stop. So I am stopped and in 1st gear (I know I am clearly and definitively in 1st gear as I am very conscience of it now!). I start going by slowly applying the gas as I ease off the clutch. . . And pop! the transmission snaps out of gear into neutral. It is a very violent experience. It gives the sensation of being hit from behind (what I thought the first time it happened). I am 47 years old and been driving a standard transmission since I was 15. This is the first ever of such type of problem for me. Nothing has been done as of yet for this problem . This is a very dangerous problem and at a busy intersection could be a potential deadly accident. I’ve read on many Jeep forums this is becoming a problem more and more every day going back to 2008. . The failure date was Monday, Nov. 15, 2010.

After I refused to have them do any more work for me after they lied to me about repairs. Engine was rebuilt after l. R. Told me they do not rebuild engines. I feel that l. R. Went through soo much trouble to cover a recall. Drivetrain was repaired before recall and those repairs failed also. Recall was put out in Jan 09, I got my r. R. Back same month with switched engines. This manual transmission problem happened on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

The vehicle having this issue was a 1999 Lexus Rx300. The VIN of this Rx300 is JT6HF10U2X_. Car begins to lurch both backing up and accelerating in the low gears. The computer erroneously tells the clutch to engage, thus blowing the transmission. I have neck pain from the lurching; it feels as though you are getting hit from behind. Because of the jumping, it could also be very easy to rear end someone. Many owners have reported this on various blogs, including 12 pages at edmunds. Com. The cost to replace both the computer and the transmission ranges from $4000-8000 depending on whether or not you use the dealership. Toyota/Lexus recognizes this as a common problem and has corrected it in newer models, however every older car has this dangerous problem. It was 06/25/2008 when this manual transmission issue occurred.

Manual Transmission problem of Toyota Yaris

The car involved is a 2009 Toyota Yaris. VIN of the vehicle was JTDBT90349_. My 2009 Yaris )manual transmission) sedan stalls randomly when I move from low to second gear, but I have noticed an increase with the onset of warmer weather. I bought the car in early may, 2009. I wrote to Toyota to complain about the problem and shortly received a call from the dealer, middletown Toyota, to arrange a visit to evaluate the problem. The head of the repair department and I took a long ride during which both of us drove, and there were no stalling incidents. The man told me the engine/transmission was computer driven and ambient temperature and humidity were factors in the performance of the car. There was nothing he could do to change the situation, he said. Yesterday March 17, 2010, I had the car out in 60-degree weather and it stalled 7-8 times, always when I needed to accelerate from a stop. It is scary when it happens. So far the engine re-ignites, but I wonder when the day will come when it stalls at an intersection and an accident occurs. I am writing because I feel this might be happening to other Yaris owners. This issue happened on 05/04/2009.

Manual Transmission problem of Volkswagen Jetta

The car is a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. I was driving on the interstate, at about 68 mph, when the engine completely shut down without any warning whatsoever. The car, having a manual transmission, was still in gear and slowed down very quickly without any warning to other drivers (no brake lights). I tried to push in the clutch and coast to the shoulder, and successfully made it off the highway. The car restarted, and I made it a few miles towards the dealer before it happened again, luckily on a low-traffic street. The car was towed the rest of the way towards the dealer and diagnosed as a failed high pressure fuel pump, causing catastrophic fuel system damage. The fuel rail, injectors, pump, tank, and all lines will need to be replaced as the result of the pump failure caused bits of metal flakes to circulate about the fuel system. The diagnosis and listed repairs were determined by the Volkswagen dealer. This problem occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.
