2017 Sportage SX TurboKia announced that free Apple CarPlayand Android Auto software updates will be available for eligible vehicles when equipped with a compatible navigation system (AVN 4.0) or UVO3 by the end of July.
The following vehicles are eligible for the software update:
- Kia Forte 2017 Model Year.
- Kia Optima 2015-16 Model Years.
- Kia Optima Hybrid 2015-16 Model Years.
- Kia Sedona 2015-16 Model Years.
- Kia Soul 2014-16 Model Years.
- Kia Soul EV 2015-16 Model Years.
- Kia Sorento 2016 Model Year.
- Kia Sportage 2017.
With these types of updates the car owner needs a USB drive and computer to download the software. Then the software is update uploaded into the vehicle. It can take hours to accomplish therefore it is a good idea to not need the car for while when you decide to install the update.
